On October 30, 2013, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Marathon Oil Corporation elected Chad Deaton as a member of the Board, effective January 1, 2014. At this time, no determination has been made with respect to committee appointments or related person transactions for Mr. Deaton. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.
