São Paulo, July 2, 2012 - GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes S.A. (BM&FBovespa: GOLL4 and NYSE: GOL), (S&P: B+, Fitch: B+, Moody`s: B3), the largest low-cost, low-fare airline in Latin America, hereby informs that it issued the first series of Guaranteed Notes of financing for engine maintenance totaling US$84.8 million, guaranteed by Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank). The first series of Guaranteed Notes was priced based on capital market operations with all-in cost of 1.00% p.a., totaling US$39.1MM.
The financing guaranteed by Ex-Im bank has a two-year term and will support services for maintenance of CFM56-7B engines carried out by Delta TechOps, maintenance division of Delta Air Lines, in addition to reinforcing the strategic partnership established between the companies in early 2011.
“This is a unprecedented financing structure among domestic airlines, which means that GOL is one of the few players in the industry that have access to such source of funds, in addition to assuring the importance of Ex-Im Bank as strategic partner in the sustainable growth of GOL’s business plan for the coming years,” says Leonardo Pereira, GOL’s CFO.
