In compliance with Article 157, Paragraph 4 of Federal Law 6,404/76 and with CVM Instruction 358/2002, CPFL Energia S.A. (“CPFL Energia”) hereby informs that, on the date hereof, CPFL Energias Renováveis S.A. (“CPFL Renováveis”) issued the following Announcement to the Market:
“CPFL Energias Renováveis S.A. (CPRE3) (“CPFL Renováveis” or “Company”), informs that, based on authorization granted by Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica - ANEEL in its Order No. 2,988/13, and pursuant to Resolution No. 3,328/12, the Biomass-Fired Thermoelectric Plant Coopcana (“UTE Coopcana”), located in the Municipality of São Carlos do Ivaí, State of Paraná, has started its operations.
UTE Coopcana, with installed power of 50 MW, had its energy sold in the Free Market with a 21-year term of supply and 18 average MW of contracted energy.”
