Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On April 1, 2008, Chart Industries, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing
that Chart Ferox, a.s., its wholly owned subsidiary in the Czech Republic, has acquired Flow
Instruments & Engineering GmbH, a provider of cryogenic flow meter systems, distribution equipment
and related services located in Solingen, Germany. A copy of the press release is furnished with
this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1. All information in the press release is furnished
