In order to facilitate foreign tourism and visits, the Canadian government created this online permit in 2015. Individuals from these 58 countries and territories, including Lithuanian residents, can visit Canada without a visa for brief periods of time. Canadians do not need a visa to enter Lithuania. Lithuanian citizens with a Canadian Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) are permitted to enter Canada. If you are a Lithuanian traveling by air, you must obtain a Canadian ETA. This visa waiver program enables you to visit Canada without having to make an appointment with the Canadian Embassy or apply for a standard visa. Only with an approved eTA may Lithuanians enter Canada. It allows foreign citizens of select countries to enter Canada for tourism, business, or short-term transit purposes. It is a multiple entry permit, each granting a maximum stay of 180 days.
