The Immigration Advisers Authority (IAA) is investigating an immigration adviser who allegedly encouraged a client to overstay their visa. The IAA has received a complaint that the adviser told the client they could overstay their visa and remain in New Zealand indefinitely. This is a serious breach of immigration law and the IAA will be taking action against the adviser if the allegations are proven. We would like to remind people that it is illegal to overstay your visa in New Zealand, and anyone found doing so will be liable for deportation and may be barred from returning to the country in the future.

New Zealand visa holders can now enjoy the benefits of dual citizenship, thanks to a new agreement between the two countries. The agreement, which came into effect on 1 January 2020, means that New Zealand citizens can now hold both New Zealand and Australian passports. This is great news for New Zealanders who want to live and work in Australia, as it will make it easier for them to obtain an Australian visa. It will also make it easier for New Zealanders to travel to and from Australia. The agreement is a win-win for both countries, and we are thrilled to be able to offer this new benefit to our visa holders.
