Luma Financial Technologies and Nasdaq Fund Network to Bring Structured Products to Their Global Distribution Network

First of its kind identifiers elevate transparency and accessibility; put structured products on same playing field as staple investment vehicles

CINCINNATI, OH / ACCESSWIRE / June 6, 2022 / Luma Financial Technologies ("Luma"), the world's top independent multi-issuer structured products and annuities platform, today announced an agreement with the Nasdaq Fund Network, a global investment product information service bringing greater efficiency and transparency to the world's financial markets, to assign standardized identifiers to structured product vehicles.

By assigning identifiers to structured products for the first time, Luma and the Nasdaq Fund Network are collaboratively bringing these investment vehicles into the same spotlight as stocks, ETFs and mutual funds. Using the new identifiers, which will resemble the well-known mutual fund symbology with structured products having seven total characters, over 100 million investors across the Nasdaq Fund Networks' 400+ market data platforms will now be able to easily identify a holding as a structured product, search for, and have instant access to, Luma's robust product data and information.

"We're proud to work with the Nasdaq Fund Network to provide greater transparency and accessibility to the structured product marketplace," said Tim Bonacci, CEO and President of Luma Financial Technologies. "Through the creation of searchable identifiers and the robust structured product data our platform delivers behind each identifier, investors will now be able to better track their investments across retail websites, online brokerages, and in their monthly statements. We expect this will positively impact financial advisor adoption of the product set, as well as lead to better client investment experiences and outcomes. Given increasing market volatility and the beneficial role structured products can play in client portfolios, this transparency and access breakthrough couldn't come at a better time. We look forward to our future collaborations with the Nasdaq Fund Network as we take steps together to transform structured products for the benefit of the marketplace."

Structured products are pre-packaged investments that generally provide exposure to enhanced returns, or downside protection, through the use of derivatives. They have historically been viewed as complex instruments designed for sophisticated investors but are currently being revolutionized through the rise of technology to not only enhance product transparency, but also simplify and digitize the investment process for all investors.

"Nasdaq Fund Network is thrilled to announce this agreement with Luma Technologies," said Garrick Stavrovich, Vice President Nasdaq Investment Intelligence. "At Nasdaq, our mission is to bring technology and transparency to financial markets to empower all investors. Through this agreement with Luma Technologies, the Nasdaq Fund Network will deliver on Nasdaq's mission and expand the Nasdaq Fund Network coverage as we continuously look for ways to open more investment options for investors"

As a technical and analytics platform, Luma continues to drive structured product growth through their market-leading solutions, as well as their distinguished industry partnerships that look to optimize, standardize, and socialize these unique investment vehicles. Recently, Luma partnered with Morningstar to bring Luma's advanced analytics and innovative data modeling to Morningstar Advisor Workstation users, enabling financial advisors to analyze, manage, and allocate structured products most suitable to match individual investor risk profiles.
