Upward Health Announces Two New Medical Directors Joining National In-Home Primary Care Practice

Upward Health, a leading in-home medical and behavioral primary care provider, announced today it has hired Dr. Mehdi Qalbani as the Company’s Behavioral Health Medical Director, and Dr. Anubhav (Anu) Kaul as Medical Director for Physical Medicine. Dr. Qalbani is a Psychiatrist with a Master of Science in Public Health, and Dr. Kaul is an internal medicine physician who holds a Masters in Public Health from Dartmouth Institute. Together, Dr. Qalbani and Dr. Kaul will provide comprehensive clinical oversight and management to Upward Health’s multidisciplinary clinical teams in each of the Company’s coverage areas.

Dr. Qalbani graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he served as Chief resident. He returned to New Orleans for a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry and began his own practice, Integrated Behavioral Health.

Dr. Kaul trained at Ross University School of Medicine, obtained his Masters in Public Health from the Dartmouth Institute, and completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Hospital Management Fellowship at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. Most recently, he served as the Chief Medical Officer of Mattapan Community Health Center in Boston.
