ZEDEDA Reinforces Its Commitment to Information Security with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certification

  • Certification ensures ongoing information security management system (ISMS) compliance
  • ZEDEDA’s security approach is built to address the unique security requirements of the distributed edge, where there often is no physical perimeter
  • Recent releases of ZEDEDA Edge Application Services and ZEDEDA Edge Kubernetes Service reflect the company’s commitment to information security

ZEDEDA, the leader in edge infrastructure orchestration, announced today that the company has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, the internationally recognized standard for information security.

The certification, which came following an independent assessment by a third-party assessor, is granted to companies that clearly demonstrate an ongoing, structured approach to data management, security, integrity and availability. ZEDEDA also holds a SOC 2 Type 2 Attestation that states the company maintains effective controls over the security, availability and confidentiality of its cloud-based orchestration solution and related systems.

“ZEDEDA has been built from the ground up to protect the intellectual property of our customers, beginning with our industry-leading zero trust security model,” said Said Ouissal, ZEDEDA’s CEO and founder. “This certification is another industry first that not only further validates the confidence that our customers have in our solution but also helps them to meet their own compliance obligations.”

ZEDEDA’s commitment to security is reflected in its recent release of ZEDEDA Edge Application Services, which make it easier for customers to instantly gain granular control across all of their edge applications, as well as its new ZEDEDA Edge Kubernetes Service, an industry-first, fully managed Kubernetes service for the distributed edge.

ISO/IEC 27001:2022 mandates numerous controls for the establishment, operation, monitoring, maintenance and continual improvement of an ISMS, certifying that an organization has deep-rooted methodologies for business, people and IT processes, along with an established framework to help identify, manage and reduce risks surrounding information security.
