Glean Appoints Marc Wendling as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales to Drive Global Expansion, Meet the Growing AI Demands of the World's Largest Enterprises

Work AI leader Glean today announced the appointment of Marc Wendling as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Wendling brings a wealth of experience in driving sales excellence and operational success to Glean. He will oversee Sales Operations, Strategy and Enablement, Sales and Success, and Partnerships, reporting directly to co-founder and CEO Arvind Jain.

Most recently, as both VP of Worldwide Data Cloud Sales and Alliances and Global VP of SMB Sales at Snowflake, Wendling played a pivotal role in the company’s explosive growth, helping to scale its global sales organization during its historic trajectory from startup to a market leader with a $75 billion market cap. Prior to Snowflake, Wendling held key leadership roles at revenue productivity platform MindTickle and SaaS analytics platform Sumo Logic, where he expanded sales teams, scaled revenue, and drove operational success across fast-growing technology businesses. Earlier in his career, as VP of Corporate Sales at Clearslide, Wendling grew revenue from $3 million to $25 million in just two years.

“We’re thrilled to have Marc join us at such a pivotal moment in our company history. As businesses increasingly look to harness the power of AI to transform productivity and efficiency, Marc’s expertise in scaling sales organizations and building strategic partnership will be critical to seizing this incredible opportunity.” – Arvind Jain, co-founder and CEO of Glean

Glean is experiencing rapid growth in demand as organizations seek to efficiently and securely implement generative AI at scale. In September 2024, Glean announced an over $260 million Series E round at a $4.6 billion valuation, doubling its valuation in just over six months, as the company met growing demand for its Work AI platform.

“Glean’s opportunity for growth and innovation in enterprise AI has never been greater. I look forward to working with this exceptional team to make our customers AI native, drive business expansion, unlock new opportunities, and drive outstanding value to our growing list of customers and partners as we continue to shape the future of work with AI.” – Marc Wendling, SVP, Worldwide Sales, Glean
