Solo Brands earned the standing of No. 2 in the Consumer Goods category.

This year’s list shines a spotlight on businesses that are shaping industry and culture through their innovations. These organizations are setting new standards and achieving remarkable milestones in all sectors of the economy. Alongside the World's 50 Most Innovative Companies, Fast Company recognizes 606 organizations across 58 sectors and regions.

"We are truly honored to be recognized by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Companies, especially within the Consumer Goods category," said Chris Metz, President and CEO of Solo Brands. “This acknowledgment underscores our unwavering commitment to innovation, a cornerstone of our company's ethos and growth strategy. Standing among brands that are driving the future of their industries with forward-thinking products and strategies fills us with immense pride. This recognition reflects the dedication and passion of our team, whose relentless pursuit of excellence propels our success. We are grateful for this award, which reaffirms our standing as a leader in our field and inspires us to continue pushing boundaries and delivering exceptional value to our consumers.”

Consumer centric product innovation is firmly rooted in the core ethos of Solo Brands, propelling it to new heights of growth. The Solo Brands portfolio is filled with leading lifestyle brands that have trailblazed the industries in which they compete.

Solo Stove, the pioneering brand behind innovative fire pit designs, has significantly influenced the cultural conversation surrounding outdoor gatherings. Its flagship product, the "smokeless" wood-burning fire pit, has transformed the fire pit category. In the past 18 months, Solo Stove spurred a cultural sensation with its viral collaboration with Snoop Dogg. Moreover, the brand has expanded its product line to include game-changing innovations like pizza ovens, torches, and indoor-compatible fire bowls, showcasing its commitment to redefining outdoor experiences.

Chubbies, a premium casual apparel and activewear brand, has made a firm commitment to sustainability while maintaining its renowned standards of comfort and style. This dedication is exemplified by the brand's elimination of harmful forever chemicals from all its products.

In the realm of watersports, both ISLE and Oru Kayak have introduced cutting-edge technology to redefine the industry. ISLE's Surf & SUP Pioneer PRO paddleboard stands out for its innovative use of InfinityFiber material, earning praise for its groundbreaking design. Meanwhile, Oru Kayak has revolutionized kayaking with The Lake, a foldable kayak that seamlessly transforms from a compact box into a sturdy watercraft in less than a minute.

The World's Most Innovative Companies stands as Fast Company's hallmark franchise and one of its most anticipated editorial efforts of the year.

Fast Company's editors and writers identified the companies driving progress around the world and across industries, evaluating thousands of submissions through a competitive application process. The result is a globe-spanning guide to innovation today, from early-stage startups to some of the most valuable companies in the world. Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies package is available online, as well as in-app form via iTunes, and on newsstands beginning March 26. The hashtag is #FCMostInnovative.

“Our list of the Most Innovative Companies is both a comprehensive look at the innovation economy and a snapshot of the business trends that defined the year,” said Fast Company editor-in-chief Brendan Vaughan. “We saw extraordinary innovation across the board in 2023, but we also saw a handful of clear patterns: the growing footprint and impact of AI, the triumphant return of live events, and great leaps forward in climate tech. We face daunting challenges on many fronts, but the solutions we celebrate in MIC give me plenty of hope about the future.”

Fast Company will host the Most Innovative Companies Summit and Gala on May 16. The summit features a morning and afternoon of inspiring content, followed by a creative black-tie gala including networking, a seated dinner, and an honoree presentation.
