Paint for hope – Dana Darwish sheds light on early breast cancer detection through art.

By: Get News
For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, radio host, advocate for women’s health, and mental health spokesperson Dana Darwish is raising breast cancer awareness through art.

Many events have been planned throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month to spread awareness and provide better breast cancer research, resources, and care. Dana Darwish and her partners Unilabs and JKB are shedding light on early breast cancer detection through art in their latest Jordan x Cancer Campaign. The fundraising night was held for the King Hussein Cancer Center, the leading center in the Middle East for comprehensive cancer care to adult and pediatric patients.

Paint for hope is an initiative that Dana’s partners hope will circulate a message of hope and awareness. Early detection saves lives, and this initiative urges people to get screened. The event was graced by renowned doctors, artists, and with the help and support of Unilabs Jo, Jordan Kuwait Bank, hosted by Amman Marriot hotel.

Early breast cancer detection is a holistic approach to health as it improves outcomes for people affected. Breast cancer survivors often urge people to undergo cancer screening and receive the help they need as early as possible. Paint for hope shared cancer education from renowned Dr. Layal El-Asir, an oncoplastic breast surgeon known for her commitment to empowering women.

The team behind the event, spearheaded by Rand Ali of Unilabs and Supported by Jordan Kuwait Bank shared that the fundraising event was also for peer support for breast cancer patients and their families, echoing the message of Dr. Layal, who spoke at length about the importance of early breast cancer detection. The inspirational art event was crowned by the artist on duty, Randa Abu-Rahmeh, who helped everyone in attendance get in touch with their artistic selves and create tasteful art pieces.

As a fierce advocate for women, health, and wellness, Dana plans to continue shedding light on breast cancer throughout the awareness month and long after. She is also working on more partnerships and campaigns to spread her message further and lend her voice to those who need it.
