A Rare View in conjunction with 911 Sane Jane presents an awe-inspiring play portraying the Journey of Paige Gaines with Three Performances at 7 Stages Theatre Back Stages

By: Get News
‘A Rare View’, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and ‘911 Sane Jane’, a mental health advocacy organization, present XOXO, Sane Jane – a play with Three Performances at 7 Stages Back Stages located at 1105 Euclid Ave, Atlanta, GA 30307 in October, 2022

XOXO, Sane Jane is a mind-blowing play that recounts Paige Gaines ordeal as she strives to break the mental health stigma in the African-American community. The play showcases her emotions and vulnerability as she went on to defy the mental health odds and emerged victoriously.

XOXO, Sane Jane will be performed at the 7 Stages Theatre on October 8, 2022, at 2:00 PM & 6:00 PM, and on October 9, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Purchase your tickets today on the 7 Stages website.

Also, there is a livestream of the play on October 8, 2022 at 6:00 PM, and on October 9, 2022, at 3:00 PM. You can purchase livestream tickets on Eventbrite.

The sole purpose of the play is to inspire people of color to seek help whenever they encounter mental health challenges. XOXO, Sane Jane was written to Enlighten, Educate and Empower people of color to break the mental health stigma, just as Paige did!

While growing up, Paige had her share of life’s challenges. Being a two-time suicide survivor diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 22, Paige spent the first 24 years of her life suffering in silence – without a clear purpose.

Although Bipolar disorder can occur at any age, it is typically diagnosed in the teenage years or early twenties. However, all of these hurdles only made Paiges’ journey more inspiring.

Today, at age 31, Paige Gaines is a producer, a writer, a leading voice in mental health awareness, and a sought-after speaker nationwide.  Additionally, Paige founded her own organization, 911 Sane Jane, which is an organization dedicated to providing a voice for the voiceless through strategic education and storytelling. Paige’s efforts and contributions were recognized and rewarded in 2021 when NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) gave her the Young Leader Award for her contributions as a mental health advocate and pioneer.

The play’s Executive Producer, Valeria Knox, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Studies and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. She is a go-getter and a person who is committed to impacting the world positively.

The play’s Director, Jamia Tucker, who also acts in the play is a triple threat (Actor, Singer, Dancer) and received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NCA&T).
