Robert Michael’s Paranormal Drama “Oblivious” Available on Prime Video

Hailed as "abundantly touching and relatable, " Robert Michale's original TV Movie "Oblivious" is now available to rent on Amazon Prime Video. Originally airing on primetime via KVVB last summer, Oblivious is a paranormal television drama about a young woman struggling to come to terms with her terminal illness. She finds help from paranormal forces to guide her to peace and acceptance.

Oblivious was directed, written, scored, and produced by Robert Michael. Other executive producers include Diana Maiocco (Love, Gilda), Hayden Conner Ashworth (Heartprints in the Snow), Shaun Jones (The Ones Left Behind), and Nicole Gordon-Levitt. Tony Toscano of Screen Chatter reported that "Oblivious is not a typical horror film but rather a deep dive into finding peace and light when facing death. If you're looking for something more rewarding than a few jump scares check this one out."

Robert Michael stars as Collin, and the film also features American Horror Story fan favourite Naomi Grossman as Willow, Nikki Blonsky (Hairspray) as The Voice, Daniel Hall (The Young and the Restless) as Johnny and introduces Vanessa Lauren Gamble as Claire.

"The film is a reflection of what fear and panic can do to people," Robert Michael said, "and of what actions we take as a result." He went on to say "it is hard to find joy in life lately. So much conflict, so much anxiety about what each year will bring, and this leads to an increase in fear. Fear can make us do irrational things, and often to ourselves. I want everyone to remember that after the darkest storm, the grass grows greener, and the rainbows shine brighter. The light is coming, even if you must find it yourself."

The music in the film soars, and really connects the visuals to the heart of the story. "I always write my music first" Robert explained, "for most composers you get the finished product and then write the music. I think of my films in the same way as I do ballet. Music can tell the complete story. I always write my music first and that influences the script and the way the film is shot. I like to be able to close my eyes, mute the dialogue, and let the music carry me from beginning to end. If it does, I have done my job." Robert Michael's score is currently up for Best Outstanding Original Score in a TV Movie and Outstanding Music and Lyrics for "On That Day."

The film was produced by GEEPAK Entertainment in association with Early Release Content and O'Riley Media Group. GEEPAK Entertainment's previous films include the Emmy nominated "Heartprints in the Snow" coming soon to BuddiTV and the feature comedy "Pressed for Love" releasing this spring!

Robert Michael is represented by MJB Talent Agency and managed by Lara Rosenstock. GEEPAK Entertainment remains an independent production company.
