Tribeca Vegan Brunch Spot With Savory Crepes/Galettes, New Menu Announced

In addition to their popular lunch and dinner service, popular Tribeca vegan bistro Delice & Sarrasin (212-243-7200) is now open for brunch 7 days a week.

The head chef at Delice & Sarrasin is pleased to be bringing the NYC and Manhattan brunch crowd a new way to enjoy the city’s favorite meal completely cruelty-free. The bistro’s new brunch menu channels a Parisian cafe vibe, bringing patrons a new selection of light, flavorful, and French-style crepes, galettes, pastries, and more.

Delice & Sarrasin hopes their new menu of savory galettes, sweet crepes, and unique vegan versions of iconic French breakfast foods can transport their patrons to the streets of Paris and help them enjoy a long leisurely weekend brunch or midweek respite.

A spokesperson for the French vegan bistro said, “Nestled in a cozy corner, Delice & Sarrasin invites you to embark on a culinary adventure where traditional French recipes, including breakfast and brunch classics, are reimagined with a vegan twist.”

Popular new savory galettes include their Mr Petrossian, which reimagines a classic brunch flavor combination with its Konjac smoked "salmon", homemade cultured cashew creme fraiche, avocado puree and fresh dill. For those with a sweet tooth, their La Lolotte crepe with roasted bananas, melted dark chocolate and coconut whipped cream offers an indulgent choice.

In addition to being moreish, head chef Yvette Caron also recommends her crepes and galettes as a healthier choice as her light yet vibrant batter is made from nutritionally dense buckwheat, rather than processed white flour.

Another highlight of the bistro's new brunch menu is their Pain Perdu, which they describe as the authentic French toast.

Patrons can also now enjoy the full brunch experience with Delice & Sarrasin’s barista-brewed coffees, with oat, cashew, almond and soy milk available for their iconic Cafe au Lait, as well as for their lattes and cappuccinos. The bistro also serves a wide selection of teas, fresh orange juice, and for a more festive touch, mimosas made with organic vegan sparkling wine crafted by boutique French wineries.
