Kasashima Gallery and Asian Artists Prepare to Welcome 850,000 Visitors at Expo Metro Milan

By: MerxWire

MILAN, ITALY (Merxwire) – Milan, Italy’s second-largest city, is a cultural powerhouse with 90 museums, nearly 80 art galleries, 106 cinemas, and over 50 theaters and concert halls, according to the World Cities Culture Forum. The city hosts numerous internationally renowned exhibitions and festivals each year, attracting millions of visitors. The 13th Expo Metro will take place at the prestigious Piazza of San Carlo in Milan, attracting over 300 artists from more than 30 countries worldwide. The organizers expect 850,000 visitors during the event, making it one of the year’s most anticipated international art events.

Kasashima Gallery has specially invited several Asian artists to participate in Expo Metro Milan, showcasing Chinese ink paintings, calligraphy, and contemporary art to highlight the rich cultural heritage and exceptional creativity of Asian art, including Ho Ming-Chu, Shimizu Yuzuki, Angela Lin, Wu Hsiu-Yin, Wu Pei-Chi, Wu Li-Ying, Chang Yu-Hsuan, Chen Meng-Huan, Tsai Yu-Yun, Chien Hsuan-Ming, and Sakaguchi Juri. The exhibition brings together artists from Taiwan, Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Canada, Switzerland, and other regions. It will not only inspire creative ideas in art and culture across various countries but also propel the global art community towards a richer and more diverse future.

The exhibition is a non-traditional showcase based on the concept of a “collective art experience.” It breaks free from the spatial constraints of traditional galleries and museums, allowing artworks to connect directly with the public. Artists participating in the exhibition, once selected, have the opportunity to display their work alongside hundreds of pieces from around the world. This is an invaluable opportunity for emerging artists, helping them gain recognition on the international stage and leaving a lasting mark in history.

In addition to viewing the works of global artists in the center of Milan, the audience can instantly access the artists’ websites and social media profiles through QR codes. In terms of interaction, the organizers will host artist and media meet-and-greets during the event. Additionally, extensive promotion will take place on the official social media channels before, during, and after the exhibition, ensuring that the artists’ information and works continue to spread and make an impact in the boundless online world.

The Taipei Chinese Painting Research Association has been invited by Kasashima Gallery to participate in this exhibition. Chairman, Wu Li-Ying, stated, “Chinese traditional painting and calligraphy have thousands of years of cultural heritage. We hope to showcase the remarkable achievements of our association’s artists to the world, allowing more people to appreciate their exquisite techniques and innovative thinking in the field of art. The platform provided by Expo Metro Milan helps enhance the market value of the works and supports artists in gaining higher international recognition and esteem.”

“We previously led Asian artists to participate in the Vueling Onboart Exhibition in Spain, receiving enthusiastic responses from the art community, media, and fans, which has bolstered our confidence in this transnational exhibition,” said Yu Le, PR of Kasashima Gallery. “Asia is home to many cultural inheritors proficient in Chinese ink painting and calligraphy. Through Expo Metro, we aim to bring the essence of Eastern art to Milan, Italy, and showcase the diversity and innovation of Asian art to a global audience, opening up new opportunities for the artistic careers of these creators.”
