--News Direct--

Sapphire Technologies, developer and manufacturer of energy recovery systems for hydrogen and natural gas applications, has partnered with CNX Resources (NYSE: CNX), a leading natural gas development, production, midstream, and technology company, to develop a FreeSpin® In-line Turboexpander solution for high-pressure service. CNX will integrate Sapphire’s turboexpanders into its assets to harvest waste energy and generate zero-emissions electricity.

“Sapphire Technologies champions innovation as a core belief, leading us to discover new clean energy applications,” said Freddie Sarhan, CEO of Sapphire Technologies. “As the world looks to advance clean and zero emission energy practices, we are thrilled to partner with CNX Resources on this new turboexpander application and continue to apply our technology in new industries.”

This installation demonstrates the firm’s commitment to produce clean energy through innovative solutions and demonstrates that Sapphire’s turboexpanders and CNX Resources’ assets are driving innovative change that are poised to be replicated across the energy space globally.

“Building on our proven track record of technological innovation within the industry, CNX is pleased to partner with Sapphire Technologies on this groundbreaking installation as we continue to integrate carbon-reducing processes throughout our asset base,” said Ravi Srivastava, CNX President of New Technologies. “This partnership demonstrates CNX’s ability to supply new process solutions and illustrates how we are leading the development of clean, locally-sourced energy solutions for the Appalachian region and beyond.”

Sapphire Technologies is driving global decarbonization through developing and manufacturing energy recovery systems that harness the power of gas expansion to produce reliable and clean electricity. Sapphire Technologies’ systems are designed to convert energy wasted in pressure reduction processes into electric power without interrupting operations. By recovering this wasted pressure energy, Sapphire Technologies helps customers reduce carbon emissions, meet ESG goals, offset electrical costs and achieve substantial financial returns.
