Building Greater Impact: Share the Code Summit Ignites Corporate Engagement in DEI Initiatives for Houston's Black-Led Organizations

--News Direct--

Houston, TX, June 1, (500NewsWire) -- On the heels of momentum from a Black-led organizational planning process, affectionately named Build Black Houston (Hou), participants add additional value to their combined knowledge, strengths, and resources with the announcement of a virtual Share the Code Summit, which will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023. The multi-disciplinary planning process was anchored through transformative relationships that brought inspiration and insights from a diverse group of Black leaders and community stakeholders, which included funding that came from a major Houston Foundation that has invested in DEI as a fundamental component of their efforts.

The planning process created an action plan by and for Black-led organizations in the Greater Houston area, which will be publicly released during the virtual Share the Code Summit. Build Black Hou focused on strengthening how Black-led organizations are supported in Black-led social change through areas such as collaboration and engagement, the implementation of nonprofit management practices, and increasing financial sustainability. The Share the Code Summit represents a pivotal opportunity for corporate sponsors to further propel this work forward with a tangible Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) impact.

During the summit, workshops will be tailored to address the themes that emerged from the planning process. By providing leaders with strategies and methods that can be immediately applied, the workshops will serve as a catalyst for enhancing the capacity of their communities.

The Share the Code Summit represents a collective convergence of shared vision and unity. Sponsors will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution towards this shared vision of nearly 100 Black-led organizations by supporting the efforts of Build Black Hou and its goal to empower individuals from all backgrounds.

As an integral part of this commitment, businesses with shared values are invited to invest in resourcing and uplifting the invaluable work that Black-led organizations contribute to their community. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the Share the Code Summit and will serve as a testament to creating tangible change and provide an opportunity to support the growth and development of black-led initiatives.

Join us in forging a future of resilience and vibrancy in the Greater Houston area.
