J. Basil Dannebohm launches website aimed at delivering balanced perspectives of current events

Rooted in the belief that calm minds and sound doctrine always prevail, Dannebohm hopes to offer commentary and reflections from a balanced perspective.

(PRUnderground) October 24th, 2023

J. Basil Dannebohm has been fine tuning both his website and his message since early 2022. In light of recent events playing out on a global stage, he believes now is the opportune time to share his thoughts with an online audience. All too acquainted with controversy and attacks, both secular and religious, Dannebohm says he is “sympathetic to those dismayed by the division and extremism that exists on all sides of modern civilized society.”

Throughout his career, Dannebohm acquainted himself with various causes and concerns – both secular and religious. After thorough research and often first-hand involvement, he concluded that while there exists a major divide in society, “both the left wing and the right wing are ultimately part of the same bird.”

“By and large, both religion and society have arrived at the same dangerous crossroads: a disregard for the sanctity of human life, an assault on the traditional definition of gender and family dynamic, an increase in violence, persecution, divisiveness, confusion, and despair,” said Dannebohm. “Since the dawn of social media, people have been subject to a lot of noise. It seems like every day a new garage studio ‘influencer’ is launching a podcast. More often than not, these armchair noisemakers prattle on about everything that is wrong in the world without offering any type of solution. Sadly, a good number of them also capitalize greatly off of fear mongering.”

Combatting the “noise” and offering balanced insight is precisely what Dannebohm hopes to accomplish with his new website, The Dannebohm Dispatch.

“Somebody once told me: the good does not make noise and the noise does not make good. Those words served as a source of inspiration for this endeavor,” said Dannebohm. “I believe that calm minds and sound doctrine will always prevail.”

The Dannebohm Dispatch will cover a number of subjects including current events, spirituality, and what society can learn from history. He hopes to present readers with down to earth, albeit often sardonic observations of current events, avoiding inflated scholarly language, overly complicated theology, and hype. In his words: “Just simple observations and reflections.”

“While my commentaries may at times rub people the wrong way, I am of the opinion that a civilized society can still agree to disagree in a respectful manner,” said Dannebohm. “I’ll admit, it’s rare these days, but I think there are a few people remaining who are capable of treating one another with dignity and decency regardless of differing views and opinions.”

The Dannebohm Dispatch can be read at www.dannebohm.com.
