This loss damaged biodiversity, reduced carbon storage capacity, and affected the livelihoods of local communities. The Delta Blue Project, a public-private partnership, aims to reverse this damage and amplify environmental benefits.
Since its inception six years ago, Delta Blue has restored 73,000 hectares of mangrove forests, benefiting 43,000 locals and sequestering over 127 million tons of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e). This initiative not only supports global CO2 reduction but also strengthens biodiversity and coastal resilience, making it a prime example of a carbon offset project with a multiplier effect.
