Tree 10 is a silkscreen by Alex Katz showing a tree in winter. It is a 10x screen print using transparent colors to build density and create soft transitions in values to capture the depth and painterly quality of the original image - the Essence of Beauty by Alex Katz, so to speak. Transparent blue tones contrast the azure sky with the austere shape of the tree. and its branches, which are in monochromatic tones. There are currently more original prints in preparation with the motifs “Straw Hat 1”, “Sunrise”, “Halsey” and “Grace”.
