The David Posnack Jewish Community Center and Temple Bat Yam partnered to host the inaugural Baer Cup Golf Classic, presented by Baer's Furniture at the Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac, Florida.

Close to 200 golfers, corporate partners, community leaders, volunteers, and philanthropists participated in the inaugural Baer Cup Golf Classic. The sold-out tournament raised thousands of urgently needed scholarship dollars, providing opportunities for families who need financial assistance to enjoy the many programs and services offered by the David Posnack JCC at the Baer Family Early Childhood Learning Center at Temple Bat Yam in Fort Lauderdale, the Susan & Saul Singer Early Childhood Learning Center, Camp Kadima and our Giborim United programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities at our Davie campus.

"The Baer Cup Golf Classic raised scholarship dollars which allow needy families to participate in our J's A.P.P.L.E.-accredited pre-schools, Camp Kadima and Giborim United programs for people with developmental disabilities," said Scott Ehrlich, CEO at the David Posnack JCC. "We are grateful for the tremendous support from our corporate sponsors and members and look forward to hosting this event on an annual basis."

Rabbi David Spey of Temple Bat Yam said, "It is wonderful to have such a creative and innovative partner in the David Posnack Jewish Community Center.  The collaboration and success of our scholarship drive between the DPJCC and TBY enables us to provide quality education and programming to a greater number of people with diverse needs and challenges. We are really excited to see what the future of our partnership will bring."
