MedWand Supports Smithsonian's FUTURES Exhibition at Historic Arts + Industries Building, Opening November 20, 2021

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif. - Oct. 27, 2021 - PRLog -- MedWand™ Solutions is pleased to announce that the award-winning Telehealth device company will support programming at the Smithsonian's groundbreaking new "FUTURES" Exhibition located inside the Arts + Industries Building in early 2022.

Opening November 20th and continuing into summer of 2022, FUTURES will span nearly 32,000 square feet with new immersive site-specific displays, art installations, interactives, new inventors, working experiments, speculative designs, and more. The exhibition will showcase stories of future-makers who are working tirelessly towards a more equitable, peaceful and sustainable world—inventors and creators, activists and organizers—with a special focus on communities who may not have always had a voice in future-making.

Supporting the presentation of a dynamic public program in 2022 around the future of healthcare is not only a philanthropic and national responsibility to MedWand, but also, an opportunity to make an effective impact towards creating a better world.

"In line with the vision of the FUTURES Exhibition, MedWand seeks a more equitable future of health for all, by improving outcomes and ease of access to virtual care regardless of location," shared Robert Rose, President and COO, MedWand Solutions, Inc. "We are honored and excited to inform the public that in a fast-paced, ever-evolving world, there are people like us at MedWand who are hard at work ensuring their healthcare is not left behind."

A company of visionaries and a curator of big ideas, MedWand combines multiple clinically accurate vital sensors and an Ultra-HD resolution camera. Operating via MedWand's Virtual Care Clinic software physicians can conduct comprehensive video consultations and physical exams over the Internet, with real-time monitoring and recording of key vitals. Data collected include core temperature, blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate, heart, lung and abdominal auscultations, electrocardiogram, and high definition otoscopic, oropharynx, and dermatoscopic exam images.

"In a world that feels perpetually tumultuous, there is power in imagining the future we want, not the future we fear," said Rachel Goslins, Director of the Arts + Industries Building. "There is no better place to do this than in the Arts + Industries Building, the nation's original home for big ideas."

Temporarily re-opening for the first time in nearly two decades, the limited-time exhibition will take place in the historic Arts + Industries Building (AIB), America's first National museum.

Rose adds, "From the clinical grade sensor device in the hands of the patient, through multiple cloud-based diagnostic engines, to virtually any existing EMR system, MedWand is leading the delivery of Telehealth into the future. We expect that our technology will aid in saving lives, improve outcomes, and help shape a better world… I can't think of a better approach to helping to shape our future, than by supporting an exhibition dedicated to creating a better one."
