New website that matches Ukraine refugees with hosts just launched

By: PRLog

A new website for the Ukraine refugees has just been launched. WelcomeWay.org is a website designed to match Ukraine refugees who need a place to stay, with welcoming hosts in different countries.

AUSTIN, Texas - March 27, 2022 - PRLog -- The majority of families leaving Ukraine do not know where to go. WelcomeWay.org is aimed at smoothing the transition to helping the refugees to find shelter with local residents who have spare room. Since many of the refugees include children, finding caring shelter within a local home is better for the children than being in a shelter.

In addition to offering the free shelter matching service, WelcomeWay.org is fundraising to help support the refugees. The majority of refugees have had to leave their jobs and homes, with very little possessions. They are in great need for assistance and WelcomeWay is helping to bridge the assistance gap with help from donors. We plan on growing the site to include more features, including job searching, healthcare sources and other necessary services for the refugees.

"My heart goes out to all of the Ukraine refugees who find themselves victims of this unprovoked war. Having built websites for over 17 years, the best way I could help is to create this site, which is aimed at the millions of refugees who are forced to flee their homes and have a huge need for safety, supplies and shelter," says John Jernigan, creator of WelcomeWay and founder of web design company One Black Dog Media. "The WelcomeWay.org site is now live and I am actively starting to promote it to the continuous stream of refugees still leaving Ukraine, as well as to caring and welcoming hosts in various European countries who can help host the refugees. I look forward to also expanding the site quickly to include job search assistance for the refugees and other resources such as healthcare location services."
