The National Collegiate Entertainers Group (NCEG) Revives Artist Development With “Moguls” Music Competition

US-based 501c3 nonprofit organization, NCEG, announces the launch of a groundbreaking college music competition “Moguls”, powered to create an artist development platform for talented acts to master their artistry.

On September 15th, five schools from the state of Georgia (Georgia State, Kennesaw State, The AUC, West Georgia, and Georgia Gwinnett) will face off in an epic series of music competitions to see which college /university has the most promising collection of future music industry moguls. The competition will kickoff, with Georgia State vs AUC.

Each school will have the opportunity to compete against every other school in the series, alternating between home and away matches. The two teams with the best records at the end of the series will face off in a championship match to determine the grand prize winner.

The music industry has evolved over the past decades, growing to become a multi-billion-dollar market featuring different categories of stakeholders. Unfortunately, the art of grooming the musicians in the industry – artists, seems to have been relegated in favor of the pursuit of record sales and other forms of monetization.

However, the team at the National Collegiate Entertainers Group (NCEG) aims to change this narrative with the launch of the artist development program that is designed based on the principles of higher education of the music business.

The “Moguls” Music Competition has the opportunity to generate $50,000 in scholarships across five schools in our very first year, and by the time students start enrolling in colleges and universities solely because our organization is present there, universities stand to generate a lot more.

“It’s been a long time coming for us to get to this point. I wish all the students luck and encourage them to bring their best.” - Derek Jackson.

NCEG is looking to bring back artist development in a new and innovative way, championing the resurgence of the act that has seemingly been non-existent for decades. The nonprofit covers different aspects of artist development, including performance training, branding, marketing, and interview preparation. NCEG aims to create “The NCAA of the Music Industry” through self-sustained musical ecosystems on college campuses to offer a smooth and rewarding experience for talents entering the music business.

NCEG is seemingly championing a revolutionary movement to develop artists across genres, a duty that modern-day record labels have neglected over the years.
