Award-Winning Author Frederick Douglass Reynolds Explores Crime and Societal Issues in Gripping New True Crime Story "Saint Bloodbath"

By: PRLog

"Saint Bloodbath" is a true story exploring multiple horrific crimes, and going a step further, shining an empathetic spotlight on the victims' lives, their shared experiences, and the investigators who sought justice for them with unwavering dedication.

LOS ANGELES - June 20, 2023 - PRLog -- Frederick Douglass Reynolds, a retired Homicide Sergeant and celebrated author, unveils the world of crime, homelessness, and social inequity in his latest book, "Saint Bloodbath." This true crime thriller intricately narrates the murders of five homeless individuals in a Long Beach encampment, followed by the murder of a teenager in a nearby desert. The book provides an in-depth exploration of the working relationships of law enforcement entities, the potential harm of incompetence in cases, and sheds light on the lives and struggles of the unhoused.

Reynolds's personal involvement with the victims, investigators, and proximity to the crimes offers a deeper level of authenticity and depth to the narrative. Speaking to his motivation behind writing the book, Reynolds notes, "I was involved tangentially in the events that unfolded. I lived near the crime scenes, knew some of the victims, and had personal relationships with the investigators working on the cases. This story touches on critical issues in our society, including police work, homelessness, cultural divisions, foster care, and the pervasive violence plaguing our communities. I felt compelled to shed light on these matters and show the underlying goodness and the desire for justice that exists in most of us."

Early reviews show "Saint Bloodbath" has made a significant impression on readers:

"Saint Bloodbath is a modern true crime tour-de-force." —Ralph Pezzullo, bestselling author, and host of the podcast "Heroes Behind Headlines."

"Reynolds has seamlessly meshed the melting pot that is LA County into a brilliant piece of storytelling." —Cecil Rhambo, LAX Chief of Police

"The best true crime novel since Joseph Wambaugh's The Onion Field." —Henry Johnson, Redondo Beach Police Officer (Retired)

SAINT BLOODBATH, published by DeltonRamsey in 2023 (ISBN: 978-0578277325), is available at online bookstores everywhere.
