Délice & Sarrasin is a renowned establishment that's grown popular in the vegan community for offering plant-based alternatives to traditional meat- and dairy-rich dishes from France. The restaurant reopened in early June after a move from its old location and can now be found at the new quaint venue on West Houston Street in Greenwich Village, close to Soho.

Délice & Sarrasin takes a creative approach to giving their customers an authentic French gastronomy experience without using animal-based ingredients. One of the starters is the Escargot Beurre Maître D'Hôtel, a vegan snail dish made from oyster mushrooms in coconut-based garlic butter. Another starter is vegan foie gras, a traditional dish banned in several countries for its ethically questionable production. The foie gras from Délice & Sarrasin is a cruelty-free interpretation based on tahini, served with fig jam and levain bread.

The head chef is dedicated to crafting vegan recipes without compromising taste, texture, or presentation. Some other meat substitutes used to recreate a genuine dish are seitan, pea protein, soy protein. Dairy-free cheese is also on the menu, such as Brie made from macadamia nuts and a cashew-based cheese plate.

Some other green takes on classic dishes that can be found on the menu are steak frites, coq au vin, steak tartare, and bœuf bourguignon. In addition to their savory entrées and main courses, they also offer desserts, including crepes and crème brûlée. Most of the dishes are gluten and soy free, catering to various dietary needs.
