BRISBANE, CALIF. August 9, 2007 bebe stores, inc. (Nasdaq: BEBE) today reported retail sales of $47.6 million for the four-week period ended August 4, 2007, an increase of 4.8% compared to sales of $45.4 million for the four-week period ended July 29, 2006. Same store sales for the four-week period ended August 4, 2007 decreased 6.3% compared to an increase of 10.0% for July 2006.
As of August 4, 2007, average finished goods inventory per square foot was approximately 1.5% higher as compared to the prior year.
