Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
On August 14, 2006, the Oregon Steel Mills, Inc. Board of Directors (“the Board”) increased its size from eight to nine directors and appointed David A. Foster a Class B Director who will serve as a member of the Audit Committee.
Mr. Foster, 58, is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Minnesota and consults for public policy organizations. Earlier this year he retired after serving 16 years as a District Director for the United Steelworkers of America.
