Effective January 9, 2009, The E.W. Scripps Company (“Scripps”) announced the election of J. Marvin Quin to the Board of Directors. Quin’s election expands the board from 9 to 10 members. A copy of the press release announcing the election is filed as Exhibit 99.01.
