China’s Largest Refrigerated Fishmeal Processing Vessel Successfully Launched in Fuding!

Recently, the launching ceremony for “Min Fuding Yu Leng 09888,” China’s largest refrigerated fishmeal processing vessel, was held at Fujian Lixin Ship Engineering Co., Ltd.

Refrigerated fishmeal processing vessels are an emerging marine economic format, using the catch as raw materials to directly processes the catch into high value-added products such as fishmeal and fish oil at sea, significantly reducing the time and distance required for marine transportation, land transportation, and onshore processing, and improving production efficiency and utilization of fishery resources. The “Min Fuding Yu Leng 09888” refrigerated fishmeal processing vessel has an overall length of 128 meters, a molded breadth of 24 meters, a molded depth of 8 meters, and a gross tonnage of 12,078. Equipped with four fishmeal processing lines on board, it is equivalent to a large offshore processing facility. It is currently the largest and most technologically advanced fishmeal processing vessel in China.

“For onshore processing, fishery products require berthing and transfer, taking more than 10 hours. While a refrigerated fishmeal processing vessel can work seamlessly with fishing vessels, eliminating intermediate steps, better preserving the freshness of the catch, and producing fishmeal with higher protein content, thus achieving higher market benefits,” Wu Chengqiang, Deputy General Manager of Fujian Lixin Ship Engineering Co., Ltd., told reporters. The “Min Fuding Yu Leng 09888” refrigerated fishmeal processing vessel can process 1,500 tons of fresh marine products and produce 300 tons of fishmeal per day, equivalent to the output of four large onshore factories.

It is understood that in recent years, Lixin Ship Engineering has adhered to the principle of “quality first, market first” and actively promoted “structural adjustment and mode transformation.” Through expansion and technological transformation, the company has significantly enhanced its production and technical capabilities, built various types of ships such as chemical tankers, offshore engineering ships, pelagic fishing vessels, roll-on/roll-off ships, container ships, self-propelled sand carriers, and bulk carriers that comply with the rules of classification societies, continuously expanded its business scope and sold its products worldwide.

“In the past two years, our company has received many orders from abroad. In the future, we will continue to develop new quality productive forces, actively cooperate with foreign ship companies, and continuously promote the international development of Fuding shipbuilding,” said Wu Chengqiang.
