Ollie’s Donates $100,000 this Veterans Day in Support of Tunnel to Towers’ Gold Star Family Home Program

In honor of Veterans Day, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet, Inc. (Ollie’s), one of America’s largest closeout retailers, has donated $100,000 to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. The donation has been earmarked for the foundation’s Gold Star Family Home Program which provides mortgage free homes or mortgage payoffs to surviving military spouses with young children to help ease their financial burden. Along with this donation, Ollie’s is also observing Veterans Day by offering a 15% off entire purchase discount on Thursday, November 11 to all active duty military and veterans. Ollie’s will honor the discount in all 428 of its stores on November 11, from 9am-9pm only. Valid proof of military service will be required at time of purchase and the offer cannot be combined with any other discount.

“We are honored to support this incredible program developed by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation,” said John Swygert, President and CEO of Ollie’s. “Our longstanding commitment to support nonprofit organizations that help children now includes our partnership with the Gold Star Family Home Program, and we could not be prouder to help military families ease their financial burden after making the greatest sacrifice to serve their country. We are thrilled that our growing footprint allows us to offer more active and retired military members even further discounts on our already low prices in celebration of Veterans Day as we approach the holiday shopping season.”

“As we honor those who have served our great country this Veterans Day, we must remember that they do not serve alone,” said Frank Siller, Chairman and CEO of Tunnel to Towers, “We must also honor and remember the families who have served alongside them, and the families whose loved ones did not come home. We are so thankful to our partner Ollie’s for their support of our Gold Star Family Home Program.”
