Thoughtworks Receives 2024 CSO Award from Foundry’s CSO

Thoughtworks (NASDAQ: TWKS), a global technology consultancy that integrates strategy, design and engineering, has been named a winner of a 2024 CSO Award from Foundry’s CSO for the second consecutive year. This prestigious honor is bestowed upon a select group of organizations that have implemented security projects and initiatives demonstrating outstanding business value and thought leadership.

“The stakes grow higher every day for security leaders and their teams, and this year’s CSO Awards honor the very best efforts to tackle challenges from an expanding threat landscape,” said Beth Kormanik, content director for the CSO Conference & Awards. “From devising new threat detection methods and cyber analytics to initiatives addressing AI threats, zero trust, and data protection, these projects are at the forefront of innovative security thinking and represent true business value for their organizations. We congratulate the winners and look forward to celebrating them at the CSO Conference & Awards this fall.”

Thoughtworks Chief Information Security Officer Nitin Raina recognized that the complexities of federated business structures and diverse client landscapes limit risk insights for Information Security (InfoSec) teams. By moving beyond traditional “train and deploy” models, Raina’s team created a Security Champions program within delivery teams whereby team members are advocates of a shift-left approach to security in the software development process. As a result, the enhanced Security Champion program creates a robust integrated system, empowering teams for decentralized decision-making, risk handling and access to organization levers.

“We’ve been longtime proponents of shifting security left and empowering teams to enhance security protection while also driving business value,” said Nitin Raina, Chief Information Security Officer, Thoughtworks. “Thoughtworks' Security Champions Program takes a proactive approach to early threat detection and increases visibility while also creating a more self-sufficient security culture.”’

Thoughtworks will accept its award at the 2024 CSO Conference & Awards to be held October 21-23, 2024 at the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Casino in Fort McDowell, AZ.
