Henry James Releases New Eco-Friendly Henley Made From Recycled Water Bottles

By: Get News
Designer Shane Loidolt debuts the first style in sustainable men’s clothing brand, Henry James.

Henry James, the newest sustainable men's apparel brand in the market, has released the world's most comfortable Henley shirt made from upcycled water bottles and organic cotton. The shirt was designed by founder Shane Loidolt, a sustainable fashion designer with a focus on comfort and quality.

“When I thought of all the garbage we throw into the ocean, how much waste there is in the quick fashion industry, and how some brands say they are committed to sustainability - but then turn around and make their clothes in offshore warehouses and pollute the planet by shipping their clothes to the places where they are sold - I thought we could do better and it just clicked” said Loidolt.

“We often focus more on who is making the label and whether or not they are on trend by influencers (whatever that means) instead of what is behind the label- I thought we could create a better world for us all while making some pretty awesome clothes. So I started henry james to create comfortable clothing in a safe, sustainable way that actually reduces the carbon footprint on the world while reducing pollutants in our oceans.”

Henry James' first-ever sustainable Henley is made from eco-friendly fabrics and ethical labor sourced in Los Angeles, CA. In our interview, Shane stressed that it was critical for the company to source and manufacture in the USA in order to ensure that the clothing is made with ethical labor practices and a low carbon footprint.

“A lot of times you’ll see a so-called sustainable company that makes their products off-shore, then cancels the good work they’re doing by shipping their stuff halfway around the world,” says Loidolt, “we’re different because we’re adding to the local community while keeping our carbon footprint low.”

Asked about his new brand, Shane went on to add, "our goal is to make clothing that elevates and inspires enlightened adventurers around the world. The ethos behind henry james is simple- we want to make sustainable, ethical clothing that doesn't compromise on style or comfort while making the planet cleaner and healthier for our children."

The Henley is made from a 50% organic cotton and 50% recycled poly, which makes it extremely soft, breathable, and comfortable to wear, perfect for a relaxed night in or a day out.

The long-sleeve lightweight Henley is made to be a go-to piece for every adventurer’s closet, satchel, or travel pack.  It features a four-button placket with custom metal buttons and a front pocket and is available in Sky Blue. The shirt normally retails for $89.99 but is currently available at $49.99 during the first run while inventory lasts.

"We're really proud of this shirt," said Loidolt. "It's the perfect embodiment of our brand- sustainable, stylish, ethical, and made for adventure. We hope we can continue to make the world a better place while providing enlightened travelers go-to clothing staples for their journeys."
