Edie Chiano Owner & Founder of Miss Edie’s Dancing Feet was recently selected as Top Entrepreneur & Dance Studio Owner Of The Year for 2023 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership, dedication, passion and commitment to the dance industry.
Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself; only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. All Honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.
With over 5 decades of experience, Ms. Chiano has certainly proven herself a seasoned and trusted expert in the dance and performing arts field. For the past 57 years Ms. Chiano has coached and taught thousands of students on Long Island and has won numerous championships.
She has brought her students around the world to compete in the most exclusive championships regionally, nationally and internationally. She has led, directed, and choreographed her teams to World Championships and to perform for very exclusive events. Her teams have competed in Nassau, Bahamas, Las Vegas, Nashville, TN, Anaheim, CA, Walt Disney World in Florida, Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach, Ocean City and National Harbor Maryland. Her teams have had special invitations to perform all over the world some include but are not limited to: the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, EAB Tree Lighting on Long Island NY, the Christmas Spectacular at the Tilles Center, The Rose Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Aloha Bowl in Hawaii, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin Ireland, was selected by Disney to perform for the premier of Beauty and the Beast and Lion King at the Javits Center, Private Screening of Pocahontas in Central Park, performed with the Beach Boys at Yankee Stadium, was apart of a Disney Production at Shea Stadium, Macy’s Tap A Mania on 34th Street, Walt Disney World’s 25th Anniversary at South Street Seaport to perform Steamboat Willie, just to name a few.
Before opening her studio Miss Edie’s Dancing Feet, Miss Chiano was the head Valley Stream Dance Coach for the National Award Winning Vallerettes and Streamers, was a member and founder of the Long Island Kickline Association, was an appointed representative for the Universal Dance Association and Varsity Dance Spirit, and active member of the United States All Star Federation.
Throughout her illustrious career, she has received many awards and accolades and has been recognized worldwide for her accomplishments. This year she will be featured in TIP (Top Industry Professionals) Magazine, will be featured on the famous Nasdaq Billboard in Times Square during fashion week and will be honored at IAOTP's annual awards gala at the NYC Plaza Hotel this December for her selection as Top Entrepreneur and Dance Studio Owner of the Year.

Looking back, Miss Chiano attributes her success to her perseverance, work ethic, and genuine love of each and every student. When not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family. In the future, she hopes to continue to inspire and empower her dancers.
