(PRUnderground) June 11th, 2024

With the sport of pickleball taking the title of the fastest growing sport in the country again in 2024, Pickleball Mastery strives to provide players with everything they need to know as they step on the court for the first time, as well as the tools they need to hone their skills to become an avid pickleball player. According to USA Pickleball, there were 11,885 places to play pickleball as of January 4, 2024, an increase of over 1000 locations since last year. On Monday, May 3rd, the San Diego City Council announced the addition of pickleball playing space as part of the renovation of Mira Mesa Community Park, a signal of continued growth and need for training and support from trusted experts and online resources such as Pickleball Mastery.

Invented in the summer of 1965, pickleball has been around for almost 59 years. Although it came from humble beginnings, it has quickly become a popular pastime and competitive sport in all 50 states and across Canada. As the sport continues to grow exponentially, the demand for highly skilled training and expert advice about equipment, including the best pickleball paddles, balls, shoes, and other gear is increasing. Pickleball Mastery aims to be a leading online resource for not only information about top pickleball equipment, but instructional videos and tutorials by experts on how to learn how to play and how to master advanced playing techniques.

“The decision of the San Diego City Council to include space for pickleball at the Mira Mesa Community Park is exciting,” remarked Emily Johnson, Marketing Manager for Pickleball Mastery. “It shows how quickly the sport is growing and spreading. Communities, like Mira Mesa, need more courts and places they can play, and I expect we will continue to see projects like this one on the books in the near future in other recreation centers, parks, and public spaces.”

The Mira Mesa Community Center renovation will update the recreation facilities to include spaces for various recreational activities. The $43.3 million project will include a skate park, shade structure, aquatic complex, playground, basketball and pickleball courts.

“What makes pickleball so universally loved across the country and among many different age groups is its approachability,” stated Johnson. “Almost anyone can quickly and inexpensively pick up a paddle and learn pickleball from our tutorials. Yet, the game is challenging and complex enough to keep even the most advanced players chasing the perfect serve, return, or dink shot. Pickleball can be as fun and as competitive as you like, and Pickleball Mastery is there to support every type of player in their pickleball journey.”
