Faye Hendricks Ballard Tugs at the Heart of Readers in Her Novella “A Love Story at the Lake”

By: WebWire

Can love be strong enough to force the threads of fate to weave a different story for star-crossed lovers? Faye Hendricks Ballard invites readers to witness the renaissance of romance between Craig and Faith.

After years of being apart and carrying on with their lives, Craig and Faith rekindle the fire of romance when Kenny, Craig's cousin, seeks help from Faith. Facing a midlife crisis, Craig falls into depression and shuts and confines himself at home. Kenny worries that if the situation persists, Craig may succumb to depression and end his life. Faith obliges, and the reunion inevitably brings back memories from the past laced with regrets but also filled with hope. When it was time to part again, they knew it was hopeless because they had to continue living their own lives—but is it the case? Will the threads of fate change the course of their lives?

“Heartache is something most people have experienced, loss of some kind. That is why I choose to write about love,” said Whitesville native Faye Hendricks Ballard.

Faye presents a compelling, quick read for people on the go. It is a concise exposition of life, loss, and love that touches the readers.

Faye exposes the pains of impeded romance and the pleasures of starting over again. She subtly reflects on life's brevity and how regrets hostage our happiness. It is a heartfelt book that promises a heartbreaking but satisfying conclusion.
