Founders Dr. Ellyn Bader, Dr. Pete Pearson, and Jamie Markizon are excited to announce the launch of a new website GrowMyRelationship.com.

This revolutionary platform was created to encourage more couples to consider relationship counseling at all stages of their relationships. Set up as a global online platform, it is a portal that helps connect couples worldwide who are looking for relationship help from trained and highly-skilled practitioners that use Developmental Model concepts.

The website is the next step in the thirty-plus-year careers of Dr. Ellyn Bader and Dr. Peter Pearson, known for co-creating the Developmental Model Approach to couples counseling. Their method has grown into an internationally recognized couples counseling and relationship therapy model that has benefited tens of thousands of couples worldwide.

The duo also trains hundreds of practitioners every year from the Couples Institute, based in Menlo Park, California. Rather than seeing conflict or struggles as abnormalities, the Developmental Model encourages couples to embrace relationship challenges as a natural part of growth and progress.

Dr. Pete Pearson, one of the two practitioners who helped found GrowMyRelationship.com and co-founder of the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, says, “We have two goals with this new platform. The first is to help prevent premature and unnecessary divorces in all types of relationships. We do this by providing education, resources, and assistance in finding a practitioner in their local area. We also believe strongly in the Developmental Model which supports and brings together highly-skilled practitioners into one easily searchable website.”

GrowMyRelationship.com will act as a portal for all couples counseling and marriage therapy needs. Even if someone is not using the services, they can find educational resources. There is information about different types of counseling, the predictable stages of couples relationships, and dispelling myths about couples therapy.

Dr. Ellyn Bader, another founding practitioner behind the project and co-founder of the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, is also excited to provide help for practitioners. “COVID-19 has accelerated a lot of trends that were slowly developing. One specific area that practitioners have struggled adapting to is the move to online counseling sessions. Digital healthcare services are the future, and we’re excited to be helping lead the transition into a different way of providing these services to those in need.”

Jamie Markizon, a co-founder of the new website, has worked with Ellyn and Pete for almost two decades and says the duo’s commitment to counseling, couples, and education in the field is infectious. “I have worked with many practitioners over the years, but Ellyn and Pete truly care about everyone so much. They care passionately about couples and practitioners equally. They have spent decades helping to train new generations of practitioners, so it’s only natural that they expand their reach further with this new platform.”
