Electives, Inc. Lands Coveted Spot on EdTech 200 List

By: PRLog

Electives is featured within the "new delivery models" sector of the HolonIQ 2022 North American EdTech 200

BOSTON - Oct. 26, 2022 - PRLog -- Electives, the enterprise live learning platform that is making learning more accessible by bringing the world's experts – the known and the unknown – into people's lives, announced its inclusion within the HolonIQ 2022 North American EdTech 200 list of most promising startups.

Appearing alongside established leaders like Handshake and Masterclass, Electives is one of the few new companies on the EdTech 200 list. Only 15% of the EdTech 200 companies are less than three years old. (Electives was founded in 2020.)

"A guest lecture during my time at MIT Sloan was the inspiration for Electives," shared Electives Co-Founder and COO Krikor Dzeronian. "A mountaineer who had climbed Mount Everest six times was explaining the importance of teamwork, and I was captivated. He was an amazing story teller, and the audience was riveted as he talked about how effective teamwork meant the difference between life and death up on the mountain."

As an enterprise live learning platform, Electives appears in the "new delivery models" section of the EdTech 200 list. Electives classes are designed to create inclusive, impactful and unforgettable experiences. Electives instructors are real people sharing real life and leadership lessons. They teach every class live, giving valuable advice as they tell stories and express feelings people are often afraid to share.

"Krikor and I met at MIT Sloan," explained Jason Lavender, Electives Co-Founder and CEO. "We sat together at the mountaineer lecture, and the idea for Electives was born immediately after, when we asked ourselves, 'why can't all learning be unforgettable?' Corporate training, we agreed, was ready for a makeover."

Electives is a live learning platform that makes it easy for company leaders to bring great learning to their teams. All of the Electives classes and instructors are detailed on the Electives Live Learning Portal, where users can get customized recommendations, easily book their Electives classes and track learning ROI. "We often say," commented Lavender, "Electives delivers training your teams will love, from people they'll never forget."

Focused on "identifying young, fast growing and innovative learning, teaching and up-skilling startups" in North America, the HolonIQ list leveraged data and insights alongside qualitative assessments to evaluate the companies it placed on its EdTech 200 list.
