Metatime's blockchain ecosystem raises $11 million in seed funding round

The blockchain startup Metatime, which has seen tremendous growth with over 230,000 users joining the platform within four weeks, has recently secured seed investment of US$ 11 million

New York, United States - April 28, 2023

Turkey’s high ranking of 12th out of 146 countries in the global crypto adoption index makes it an attractive destination for investment, as demonstrated by a recent seed investment of US$ 11 million led by venture capital trust Yıldız Tekno GSYO and including companies such as Halkbank, Türk Telekom Ventures, and Kalyon Ventures in Metatime offering blockchain-based smart applications, digital products, and hundreds of different services. Angel investors from Turkiye, the Netherlands, and Germany also participated in the investment round.

The blockchain start-up Metatime’s Co-Founder and CEO Yusuf Sevim expressed his excitement about the investment, saying, “We offer the most comprehensive digital ecosystem planned by putting the user at the center. With the power of the $11 million seed investment we received, we aim to reach 1 million users as soon as possible.”

Angel investors from 3 countries participated

Yıldız Tekno GSYO also participated in the seed investment round of Metatime, which started to accept its first users with products and services such as cryptocurrency exchange, cryptocurrency wallet, blockchain infrastructure, NFT marketplace, and stable cryptocurrency, with an investment of $150,000 for a 1% share.

Since its inception in 2021, Metatime has grown to over 210 employees and has limited partners that include Turkey's leading banks and telecommunications companies.

Sevim revealed that the rest of the financing was provided by 33 secret angel investors in a token round.

“In the round realized through Metatime Coin (MTC), the cryptocurrency of the Metatime ecosystem, the first 100 million MTC was bought at 5 cents, and the other 100 million MTC was bought at 6 cents in January and February. Investors from Turkey, Denmark, and Germany participated in the first pre-sales we realized," he said.

Nearly a quarter of a million users in just 4 weeks

Metatime has seen tremendous growth, with over 230,000 users joining the platform within four weeks during the pre-sale process.

Sevim revealed that Metatime, which focuses on developing the most comprehensive products and services focused on blockchain, plans to launch its cryptocurrency exchange, local blockchain network, stable cryptocurrency, and MTC cryptocurrency on November 11.

Additionally, the NFT marketplace and Metatime ecosystem cryptocurrency wallet will be launched in the first quarter of next year. Starting November 11, 10% of the cryptocurrencies owned by Metatime's angel investors will be unlocked. The remaining 90% of the supply will be unlocked at a rate of 0.4% per day for 225 days following November 11.

Metatime offered fixed price private sale for Metatime Coin at 7 Cents

“Our special sales round, where we offer each Metatime Coin at a fixed price of 7 cents, continues. We will offer opportunities to the first users of our platform,” he added.

Metatime aims to become one of the world's top three blockchain ecosystems within three years and the world's most widely used financial ecosystem within five years. Its ten-year goal is to become one of the world's largest technology companies.
